This evening, LG, LB and I are on our way to church for rehearsal. I'm playing Mack in a theatrical adaptation from the book The Shack.

While Mom's away...

The mice don't necessarily "play," but we do have some fun!

LW is spending last night and most of today at Women of Faith with some of the ladies from our Sunday school class. She was able to get her chat on and some girl time (two birds...one stone)!

The kids and I spent last night here playing Wii, swinging in the back yard and generally having a good time. This morning was spent going to the donut shop and lazing about on the sofas.

As for this afternoon, we are going to 1) register the kids for their respective soccer teams, 2) order LG's soccer uniform, 3) eat lunch, 4) go to church for "Movin on Up" at church, 5) swim, and 6) what was the last one...oh...yeah...celebrate my 39th birthday. My parent's baby boy is 39 today.

I don't think anyone at work knows yet that my birthday is today, but that suits me just fine. My friends on FaceBook have been messaging me all morning. It's been nice hearing from some of the people from high school that I have not seen/heard from in 20 years. Good Lord...that's a long time.

Until later

Another Day...Another Year

Can someone please explain to me how one can be one year older after the passage of one day. Today I am 38, but tomorrow I will be 39. I don't get it.

Kids...LG just came back inside after having played in the backyard. I am sitting on one of the sofa's typing on the computer preparing this entry when I look up and see LG playing near the back door in her panties and tee shirt. She comes inside and I ask where her pants are. She informs me that they are outside and wet because the swings were wet.

LB is playing Monkey Mischief on the Wii. It's for up to 10 year-olds; therefore, he is not too good at it yet, but with practice he will become most excellent.

LW is at Women of Faith this evening and for most of tomorrow, and will be returning late tomorrow afternoon. She is having fun with her friends and hopefully she will be able to get her chat on.

School...School is officially out for me. I graduated in May with my MS in Accounting. This means that the next little portion should be pretty interesting.

Work...still going great. I am so lucky to have found a job to begin with and then you add on top of that the fact that I am truly enjoying it.

Till later

Long Time no hear

November 17, 2008 to August 19, 2009...Much has changed.

Where to start.

Kids...LG starts Pre-K II next Monday while LB starts 1st grade. How did it happen?

Lovely wife...still working away, but does not want to be doing so.

I...I have graduated with a MS in Accounting and am working for at a major airport in the area assisting with their audit function. I am hoping to find some free time to study for the CPA.

Not Happy

Imagine this for a moment. You’ve had a decent evening at school. The class you have been in usually lets out at 9:20 p.m., and tonight is no different. The test for which you have been studying is over. (Forget how you really performed as you have been sick and had the honor of staying home with LG as she was ill.)

You climb into your auto and head for home. On your way you call LW who rips you a new one regarding the actions of the beautiful children. Then you get home to the following e-mail:

Caption: Your Children

Refuse to go to sleep, are being loud, which means I can’t concentrate. Which means the stuff I was supposed to be doing from home didn’t get done. In addition, I have to prepare for a conference call on another issue that is supposed to occur at 9 a.m. Which means I’m going to have to get up at dawn to go into the office. I am NOT HAPPY!

Who ever came up with the saying “if mama ain’t happy…ain’t nobody happy” hit that 16 penny squarely on the head!

By the way, she has to vent sometime, and I really don’t mind.

Love is…my beautiful wife!
